Heatless Curl Silk Hair Tie

Give your hair a break from unwanted heat damage by giving heatless curls a try! Wrap your hair around the tie at night and wake up to glamourous, good-to-go, long-lasting curls.

Simply unwind hair from tie, fluff and/or brush out curls and apply a smoothing product such as an oil if necessary- add hairspray for extra hold. I recommend using my heatless curl tie with dry or 80% dry hair. Optional: Apply additional styling products to wet hair before using heatless curl tie for extra hold (i.e. curl balm, gel, etc.).

My hair ties are adjustable for the length of your hair and curl size preference. Use my single tie for smaller spiral curls or if you have thick extra long hair or use attached elastics to double up tie for everything else. Double by pulling tie through each elastic loop so both loops are in middle of tie forming two loops.

*I recommend avoiding putting your silk scrunchie in wet hair or in areas with a lot of steam to prevent wrinkles*

INSTRUCTIONS

1. Place tie in middle of head so it hangs like dog ears. Split hair evenly down centre or part line to nape of neck and secure one side to tie with scrunchie or clip to keep out of the way.

2. Start with an inch or so section of hair from bang area and twist it OVER and then UNDER the tie. Grab a horizontal section of hair from back of head to front hairline running it UNDER the tie to join the first section. Twist OVER and UNDER tie, grab another section from back and repeat pattern until the side is out hair, twist ends around and tie off with hair elastic. Leave hanging or clip back and repeat on other side. Loops of hair should be tight and touching so you can’t see the tie in between. Move loops up with fingers if needed.

           Beach Waves: Start same as before but instead of joining back section with front, grab section from back and twist OVER tie towards face and back under. Grab another section from front and twist over, under, grab another back section twist over, under, repeat. You should always have 3 strands in your hands, 2 sections of hair and the tie- like a French Braid.

3. If first side has loosened while twisting other side, pull towards face and twist same direction until tight. Pull both sides behind head and secure by scrunchie or tying the tie itself. If having it under nape of neck while sleeping bothers you, twist and tie into “Leia" space buns.

4. Leave in overnight (or at least approx. 4 hours). Remove tie, fluff/brush out, and applying smoothing or styling products if necessary.
